This Cookie policy explains which cookies and similar technologies holapolska.pl uses, why, and how you can manage your consent.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files your browser stores on your device. They let us remember your preferences and collect data about how you use the site. Browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) serves a similar function; in this policy we treat it the same as cookies.
2. Legal basis
Under Polish electronic communications law (Art. 399 of the Electronic Communications Law Act of 12 July 2024), storing information on your device or accessing it requires your consent, unless it is strictly necessary to provide the service you are using. Personal data collected through statistics and marketing cookies is processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You give it in the banner shown on your first visit, and you can withdraw it at any time just as easily as you gave it.
3. Which cookies and similar technologies we use
| Category | What it does | Consent | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Remembering your cookie choice (localStorage, entry hp_consent: your choices, a random identifier, date and time, and the policy version). |
Not required | until you change your choice or clear the site's data in your browser |
| Necessary | Form security token: protects the contact form and the checklist form against abuse and automated submissions. | Not required | up to 12 hours |
| Necessary | Remembering that you closed the language suggestion notice (sessionStorage, entry hp_langhint). |
Not required | until you close the browser tab |
| Necessary | Remember the language you chose in the selector, so the site does not switch you to another language (first-party cookie hp_lang). |
Not required | 12 months |
| Statistics | Google Analytics 4 (e.g. _ga, _ga_*): measuring traffic and site usage so we know which content is useful. Aggregated data. |
Required | up to 24 months |
| Marketing | Google Ads conversion measurement (e.g. _gcl_au): measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. |
Required | up to 24 months |
Statistics and marketing cookies are set by Google, and only after you consent to the relevant category.
4. Google Tag Manager and Google Consent Mode
Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 and the Google Ads conversion tag are loaded only after you give consent in the cookie banner. We use Google Consent Mode in its basic implementation: until you consent, no Google script is downloaded and your browser makes no requests to Google. If you click "Necessary only", no statistics or marketing cookies are stored.
The provider of these tools is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Information on transfers outside the EEA is in our Privacy policy; more about the tools themselves is in Google's privacy policy.
5. What we do not do
- We do not use external CAPTCHA systems — the forms are protected on our own server, without disclosing your IP address to third parties.
- We do not embed external web fonts — loading them would send your IP address to the provider.
- We do not embed social media plugins — our LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook profiles are reached through plain links.
- We do not make access to our guides depend on cookies or on your data — the guides are open to everyone.
- We do not sell cookie data or pass it to data brokers.
6. Managing your consent
You can change your choice at any time:
- by clicking here or the cookie preferences button in the footer,
- by clearing site data in your browser settings — the consent banner will then appear again.
Once you withdraw consent, Google's tools stop loading. Cookies stored earlier can be deleted in your browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. Blocking necessary technologies may make the forms harder to use.
To be able to demonstrate that consent was given (Art. 7(1) GDPR), we record each decision: a random identifier, the date and time, the policy version and the choices made — without your IP address. We keep this record for as long as needed to demonstrate consent, up to 3 years.
7. Your rights
A full description of your rights is in the Privacy policy. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
