PoPolsku! · Polish for Spanish speakers
Polish for living in Poland, designed for Spanish speakers
On day one in Poland you need to buy bread, understand your landlord and book a doctor, yet courses start with the alphabet and declensions. PoPolsku! solves everyday life in Polish and, for those who want it, teaches you the language.

The idea
The unit of learning is not the lesson, it is the situation.
Nobody needs "the genitive plural": they need to say "two kilos of apples" at the market and understand the reply. PoPolsku! is not a language course with useful examples bolted on; it is a tool for getting through everyday life, with an understanding of the language added for anyone who wants it.
500 situations
What will happen to you in Poland, sorted by urgency
500 real-life situations in 50 topics. They are ordered not by grammatical difficulty, but by what is pressing today.
The urgent stuff
Arriving in the country, finding your way, medical emergencies, police, fires, theft, assaults and emotional crises.
Your day-to-day
Housing and renting, repairs, supermarkets, restaurants, transport, cars, post, phone, banks and taxes.
Your life here
Work, starting a business, doctors, pharmacies, pregnancy and paediatrics, schools, university, social life and immigration paperwork.
Every situation is a complete card
- 1Direct answer. The phrase that solves it, how it sounds and what it means, in two lines, for when you are in a hurry.
- 2Three levels of the same phrase. Survival (two to five words that work), functional (complete and polite, with the "pan/pani" Poland expects) and conversational (natural, to clarify or negotiate).
- 3"They might say…" What Poles usually answer in that situation and how to react to each reply.
- 4Vocabulary with audio, word by word.
- 5"Watch out, Spanish speaker". The specific trap in that situation, such as a word that looks Spanish but isn't.
- 6Grammar and culture, only what helps here: how that errand, shop or appointment works in Poland.
- Solve it nowthe phrase, that's it
- Practiselevels, voice and check
- Understandgrammar and culture

Pronunciation
Pronunciation built for Spanish speakers
Polish is read as it is written, but with an alphabet of sounds that looks scary. PoPolsku! breaks it into pieces you already know.
- Spelled the Spanish way. "Dziękuję" is shown as dj'enkúye, with the stressed syllable marked with an accent, just as a Spanish speaker would mark it.
- 45 sound patterns. Any word is split into coloured pieces: tap each one to see how it is made, which Spanish sound it resembles and what not to confuse it with.
- Real Polish voice, at normal speed and slowly, for phrases, replies and vocabulary.
- Read or Say. The Polish word first, or how it sounds first, in large type, to repeat it on the spot.
- Practise with your voice. Your phone compares what you say with the correct phrase and flags the word you missed; with an account, AI gives you sound-by-sound tips.
- Show. If you can't speak, the screen becomes a sign with the phrase in big letters to show the person in front of you.
Artificial intelligence
When what you need isn't on the list
What do I say? (¿Qué digo?)
You type in Spanish what you want to say and the AI returns a card with the three levels, the pronunciation, the likely replies and the warnings for Spanish speakers.
One answer for everyone
Every useful question joins a community corpus with its own page: the next person with the same need gets the answer instantly. Anything with personal data is answered but never stored.
Rehearse
A conversation with the AI playing the pharmacist, landlord, clerk or doctor, answering like a Pole, surprises included, and telling you at the end whether you solved the situation.
The course

Why it exists
Nobody should be left speechless at a pharmacy, a police station or their children's school because they couldn't pay for a course.
PoPolsku! is part of HolaPolska! and was created to help curious people, visitors and Spanish-speaking immigrants communicate in Poland from day one: handle everyday life, ask for help when needed and, little by little, make the language their own.
Learning Polish costs; starting to speak it, with PoPolsku!, doesn't.
